Job Title: SENIOR DIRECTOR, CORPORATE FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING

What you'll do: This position is the right-hand of the AVP of Finance and Accounting. Do you like coming in to work every day and learning and doing new and different things? If so, this is the job for you! You will dig in and consolidate the finance and accounting of a parent non-profit with multiple non-profit and for-profit international branches and subsidiaries (including leading the oh-so-fun annual consolidated audit!). You will also provide both strategic leadership and technical assistance to our department and our program areas of health, agriculture, emergency and disaster relief and recovery, humanitarian assistance, impact investing, rural economic development, technology for development, and so many more! We also have funding from unrestricted and restricted donors - donors such as USAID, FCDO, EU, World Bank, and many more to provide you with a challenge (including the annual NICRA calculation). You will directly lead a team of three, with a total team of eight, in the traditional areas of accounting, treasury, financial reporting and analysis, annual audit and 990, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close. You enjoy leading but are equally comfortable in a support role on a team. You prefer a fast-paced environment to a slow one. Requirements: This role requires a minimum of a four-year college degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A CPA/CMA/CA and/or a Master's Degree is also required. At least 10 years of experience with increasing responsibilities, including five years of supervisory experience is required. This position could sit in one of our offices in Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC (our preference would be Baltimore if given a choice).


Location: Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC (Baltimore is the preference)
