I'm a CFA, not a magician, but I can see why you'd be confused.

You had me at EBITDA!

Job Title: SENIOR DIRECTOR, FOR PROFIT FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING

What you'll do: This position is thought partner, innovator, and subject matter expert to the AVP of Finance and Accounting. Do you like coming in to work every day and learning and doing new and different things that are fun and exciting? How do you feel about valuing a cacao (chocolate!) company in Uganda or a spice company in India? Do COGS, EBITA and Retrained Earnings get you excited?! If so, this is the job for you! You will work with the Managing Director of our Impact Investing subsidiary, doing fun things like researching potential acquisitions and debt/equity investments, valuing the companies, running financial models, and making recommendations on them. You will provide technical support to the portfolio companies (and travel internationally!). You will work with the AVP to ensure the companies are consolidated and reflected on the corporate financials correctly. But most of all, you will be our for-profit finance and accounting Guru. Does this sound fun and interesting? It is! Come join us - Balance Sheets are the only BS we deal with!

About The Ideal Candidate: Financial analysis is who you are, it's not just your job, and you are excited (not daunted) by challenges. You love digging into a company's financials to find out all about them and running the numbers - you are a spreadsheet ninja. You are fluent in the foreign language of for-profit financial statement calculations (and you know what EBITA and COGS stands for!). You can translate that foreign language into English and make sense of it for the rest of us. You understand the intricacies of debt vs. equity investments. You also understand the intricacies of accounting for the transactions on the company books. You enjoy traveling to economically developing countries. You enjoy strategic conversations, but also working in the weeds. You are comfortable making presentations to Leadership and Boards. If this sounds like we are describing you, we want to meet you!

Requirements: This role requires a minimum of a four-year college degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A CFA Charterholder designation preferred. You must be familiar with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). We are looking for at least 10 years of experience with increasing responsibilities, including both for-profit and international relief and development organizations. You must be willing to travel up to 25% of your time to economically developing countries. This position could sit in our offices in either Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC.

Location: Baltimore, MD or Washington, DC

Why You Should Apply: Corus offers competitive salaries, discretionary bonuses, 100% employer paid Vision insurance, lots of paid leave, generous retirement program, flexible work schedules and so much more!

Call to action: Do you want to make an "impact" in the world by collaborating with our impact investing team? Are you interested in being a key leader on our finance and administration team? Apply for immediate consideration. We look forward to hearing from you.
