Corus International is seeking a Director, Employee Experience to join its Global Human Resources team.

This position may be based at one of our offices located in Washington, DC or Baltimore, Maryland. This will be a hybrid remote work arrangement with a minimum of two days working in the office each week.

The Director, Employee Experience works closely with the Senior Director, Employee Experience, on the design and delivery of programs and projects that align to all aspects of the employee experience including performance management, employee relations, HR process improvement, diversity, equity and inclusion, onboarding, culture, and learning & development. This role also serves as a technical resource and partner to global HR staff working in various regions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and administer Corus' performance management program, including goal setting, mid-year check-ins, 360° feedback, and year-end evaluation; deliver trainings focused on successful performance management principles; and support supervisors and staff throughout the year. Coordinate activities for the performance management process including drafting communications, creating presentation materials, preparing the performance feedback system, and deriving insightful data analytics to guide process improvement and needed trainings.
  • Serve as the administrator for Corus' global employee engagement platform, CultureAmp; ensuring system set up, running reports, and following up on survey responses. Provide support to global HR team with optimizing use of CultureAmp.
  • Serve as primary point of contact to manage and resolve employee relations issues fairly, consistently, and expeditiously; mediate employee questions and concerns; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations, when required; act as an advisor and coach for supervisors, assisting them with resolving employee issues, developing performance improvement plans, issuing disciplinary action, and interpreting HR policies.
  • Participate in championing diversity, equity and inclusion strategies across the organization; serve on the DEI Council and provide program and project management support for DEI projects, programs, and strategies, ensuring integration with other global organizational projects and initiatives; ensure that the design and delivery of HR projects and programs are done so through the lens of DEI; develop needed metrics and reporting to track progress against DEI goals and communicate statistics (i.e., DEI Dashboard).
  • In partnership with the AVP, International People & Diversity, provide technical leadership and guidance to the global HR team in core employee experience functions, including but not limited to, community connections, cultural initiatives, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, onboarding, recognition, and employee resource groups.
  • Design and conduct engagement surveys and collect data and other forms of feedback to help build and influence the People strategy; draft internal communications related to engagement surveys; and spearhead needed reporting and action planning; conduct exit interviews and manage follow up as needed.
  • Facilitate the implementation of effective onboarding strategies and processes that are consistent and streamlined across country offices.
  • Compile data and prepare presentations, dashboards, reports, and other documents related to performance management, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, employee recognition programs, and culture as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of progressively responsible HR management related experience, or equivalent combination; current HR certification preferred. Experience working in a global environment a plus.
  • Significant knowledge of, and experience working across multiple HR disciplines, including performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, and federal and state employment laws. Experience in DEI strongly preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills; experience communicating and collaborating with diverse populations of staff preferred.
  • Incredibly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and effectively execute.
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritize multiple tasks from a variety of sources and switch direction quickly, while still maintaining task integrity.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, but also collaborate within a team setting.
  • Ability to work with a very high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to build relationships and interface with all employee levels.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels of the organization and demonstrate effective customer service skills.
  • Must have U.S. Work Authorization.

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment

  • Corus has a hybrid work policy, allowing work to be done remotely; 2-3 days/week minimum in the office is required.
  • This position must be able to travel as required for standard domestic business purposes.
