Corus International is seeking a Program Associate to join the International Operations and Programs team at its office in Washington, DC. This will be a hybrid remote work arrangement with a minimum of two days working in the office each week.

The Program Associate provides overall administrative, programmatic, and logistical support to the MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience program.

MOMENTUM is a suite of innovative awards funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to holistically improve voluntary family planning and maternal, newborn, and child health services in partner countries around the world. One of these awards, MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience, is held by Corus International as the prime contractor and focuses on strengthening health resilience in fragile settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Project Director.
  • Coordinate and schedule events, retreats and meetings to include taking minutes and circulating notes and/or action items following meetings.
  • Support Program Managers in coordinating inputs, formatting, and editing program deliverables including quarterly reports, annual work plan, and other documents as required.
  • Coordinate with office administration staff to ensure smooth office operations to include ordering supplies, maintaining seating chart, notification of visitors and other tasks as required.
  • Provide technical support as needed for web-based meetings and webinars on Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures and guidance documents related to MIHR core operations.
  • Lead the onboarding efforts of MIHR staff.
  • Code and process invoices for reimbursement processing.
  • Liaise with IT on staff issues.
  • Support staff in booking travel and obtaining visas.
  • Liaise with Human Resources on personnel actions as requested.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Coordinator to International Programs and Operations Department to update and maintain listservs and organizational chart for MIHR staff.
  • Liaise with the International Programs and Operations Department on coordination efforts as requested by MIHR Project Director.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years relevant experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in office administration is needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or comparable platforms.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Accurate and attention to detail in project tracking and monitoring, writing, editing, typing, and filing.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and carry out multiple tasks efficiently under pressure and with little supervision; ability to accept supervision.
  • Ability to be a team player and to with people of varied backgrounds.
  • Advanced cross-cultural sensitivity, including experience working with professional and support staff in a multicultural, multi-linguistic environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changes quickly.

Working Conditions, Travel and Environment

  • Corus has a hybrid work policy, allowing work to be done remotely; 2-3 days/week minimum in the office is required. The employee must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required.
  • This position must be able to travel as required for standard domestic and international business purposes. While performing the duties of this job in different locations, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high-security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well as to infectious diseases.
